Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 2026

Quick Summary: We don't collect any personal information about you. We use basic analytics to understand website traffic, but no data is stored on your device and nothing can identify you personally.

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our website (the "Service"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Don't Collect

We want to be clear about what we do not collect: • No Personal Information: We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, postal address, or any other personally identifiable information (PII). • No Account Creation: The Service does not require registration or account creation. • No Cookies: We do not use cookies or store any data on your device. • No Financial Data: Any calculations you perform are done entirely in your browser — we never see or store your financial information, tax details, or any numbers you enter into the calculators. • No Payment Information: We do not process payments or collect billing information.

3. Analytics Data We Collect

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) configured in a privacy-focused manner to understand how visitors use the Service. This helps us improve our calculators and content. What Google Analytics collects: basic traffic information (number of visitors, page views), general location data (country/city level, not precise location), browser type and device information, which calculators are used most frequently, how long visitors spend on the site, and how visitors found the site (referral sources, search terms). Important privacy protections: IP addresses are anonymized so we cannot identify you, no cookies are stored on your device, data cannot be used to personally identify you, and we do not share data with advertisers. Google Analytics is configured to respect applicable privacy regulations including PIPEDA and Quebec's Law 25 (Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector). For more information about Google Analytics and privacy, visit Google's Privacy & Terms.

4. How Your Calculator Data Is Handled

All calculations happen entirely in your web browser. When you enter information into our calculators: • The data never leaves your device • Nothing is transmitted to our servers • Nothing is stored or saved anywhere • When you close the page or refresh, all your inputs are gone Your financial information remains completely private and under your control.

5. No Third-Party Advertising or Tracking

We do not display advertisements, use advertising tracking pixels, share data with advertising networks, sell or rent any data to third parties, or use your data for marketing purposes.

6. Children's Privacy

The Service is designed for general audiences and does not specifically target children. Because we do not collect personal information, we do not knowingly collect information from users of any age.

7. Your Privacy Rights

Federal (PIPEDA): Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act governs how private-sector organizations handle personal information. Because we do not collect, store, or process any personal information about you, most provisions are not applicable to our Service. Quebec (Law 25): Quebec residents have additional rights under Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, including the right to access, correct, and withdraw consent for the use of their personal information. Again, because we collect no personal information, these rights are largely not triggered by your use of this Service. The limited analytics data collected through Google Analytics is anonymized and cannot identify you, aggregated with data from other visitors, and retained according to Google's standard policies (typically 14 months for GA4). To opt out of Google Analytics tracking, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

8. Data Security

Because we don't collect or store your personal or financial information, there is no personal data at risk. All calculator inputs remain on your device only. We implement reasonable security measures to protect the Service itself from unauthorized access or attacks.

9. International Data Transfers

Google Analytics may process data on servers located outside Canada. Google Analytics complies with applicable international data protection regulations. For more information, see Google's data transfer documentation.

10. Links to Other Websites

The Service may contain links to external websites or resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any sites you visit.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

12. Cookie Consent

We are exempt from cookie consent requirements because we do not use cookies or similar technologies, we do not store any data on users' devices, our analytics implementation does not use cookies, and no personal data is collected that would require consent. This is why you will not see a cookie banner when using our Service.

13. Legal Basis for Processing

The limited analytics data we collect is processed on the basis of our legitimate interests in understanding how the Service is used, improving the calculators and user experience, identifying technical issues, and ensuring the security and proper functioning of the Service. We have assessed that these interests are proportionate and non-intrusive given that the data is anonymized, no cookies are used, and the data is not used for advertising or profiling.
